Very few four-year-olds know what it’s like to fly on an airplane, much less a private aircraft. But Andy R. of Fort Walton Beach is a pro since a tragic accident in December 2013 left him burned on 40% of his body. Andy, who faces ongoing medical care hundreds of miles away and is flown to his appointments by Angel Flight Southeast pilots. The bubbly boy receives skin grafts and other treatment every month or so and will do so until he’s grown. Andy’s mom says the boy loves flying because the volunteer Angel Flight Southeast pilots are so amazing and fun. She says her son is in for a rude awakening when he has to fly commercial!
